The Common Area and Townhouse lawns will be treated with fertilizer and herbicide this week, April 8 to April 12, 2019.
As the snow flurries fly, we are planning the opening of the community pool
If you are a community resident and have interest in helping at the pool this summer, please contact Betty at email@example.com.
The snow removal services in the community for common area and townhomes will be under full swing by 4:00pm this afternoon, February 20, 2019.
If you had opportunity to watch any news or weather channel updates today, even PennDOT commented that plowing would be at a minimum until the freezing rain started to pass through. Had all of the sidewalks, alleys, and drives been plowed open from snow, there would be a sheet of ice to contend with. Performing snow removal services later in the day actually makes the snow removal process easier and safer for everyone.
For those of you travelling today, please drive safely!
Kissel Hill Commons has not received more than 3″ of snow overnight and into this morning, February 11, 2019. The townhouses will not receive snow removal services today.
Because of the predicted 3-5″ for overnight tonight and into tomorrow, February 12, 2019, we do expect that the townhouses will receive snow removal services, as long as the accummulation is over 3″.
It has been reported to the Association on several occasions this season that children have been walking across the ice on the South Basin, near Wallingford Road.
Not only is this considered trespass, the ice is not solid and could break at any point in time, and it is extremely dangerous.
Please take a moment to discuss this and the dangers it brings with your family.
As the holiday season reaches full swing, we are sending a friendly reminder that exterior holiday decor must be removed within two weeks following the holiday. That means that Christmas 2018 decorations, for example, must be removed by January 8, 2019.
We wish you and your family a happy holiday season!
Please accept our sincerest apologies, as we were in the midst of a website migration and upgrade, which did not go smoothly, while we experienced the unexpected “first snow storm” of the 2018-2019 winter season.
The update caused errors which allowed us to post to the website but not to send a notification.
Please bear with us as we make additional updates to the website over the coming months.
Good Morning, Kissel Hill Commons Residents!
The Board recently approved a snow removal and landscaping contract for the Common Areas and Townhouses in our community with the RPI Company.
The snow removal contract is currently in effect and the landscaping contract begins in the Spring of 2019.
We believe that yesterday’s storm took everyone by surprise, particularly as evidenced by the condition of public and state routes yesterday afternoon and evening. We all expected about 3” of snow that would then melt away with the rain.
RPI planned on spreading salt only yesterday evening until the storm made a turn for the worse and dumped an additional two inches of snow. By the time this occurred, it was too late in the day to gather the needed crews to shovel and snow blow walks and drives.
It also being a new community for them to service with local roads nearly undriveable caused additional problems.
RPI apologizes for the delay; however, the plows are out now to clear the alleys and they are putting the hand labor together now to dispatch for drives and walks.
Please stay safe and warm, and enjoy your holiday season.
We have received reports of resident sightings of the Spotted Lantern Fly in our community.
This is a destructive pest and sightings should be reported to the proper authorities.
Good’s Disposal, the approved waste hauler for Kissel Hill Commons, recently issued a notice to it’s customers explaining what has occurred in the recycling market this year and the effect it has had on waste haulers and costs.
You may have already received the quarterly bill from Good’s and noticed an additional $7.00 sustainability fee. This minor fee to help offset the changes in the recycling market will be charged every quarter.
You may read detailed information on Good’s website at www.goodsdisposalservice.com.
